Dr. Daniel R. Evans is a family physician with a PhD in Human Molecular Genetics. His work focuses on integrating genetics into routine primary care, with an emphasis on practical, scalable approaches that support family physicians in delivering genetic services. His research explores how family history, genetic risk assessment, testing, and counselling can be incorporated into everyday clinical workflows.

He has led work on patient-completed family history tools and is developing clinician-focused resources to support the appropriate use of genetic testing in practice. His broader interests include implementation science, medical education, and health system innovation, with a focus on improving access to genetic care and enhancing the role of primary care. He practices comprehensive community-based family medicine and is committed to advancing clinically relevant, practice-oriented research.
